Happy New Year Philippines! Hereby, I present to you my 2018 predictions on the topics requested by our blog readers:

President Rodrigo R. Duterte

This year can bring stress, changes of plans that may not fulfill the whole purpose and need to take care of health issues related to blood pressure and food or medicine poisoning.

I can see a known young man who can be the cause of his stress. There will be more rivalries from those who had been in good terms in the past, which can cause obstacles.

Some major positive changes in infrastructure and developments are seen in the Philippines requiring huge amount of investment. These changes will have two aspects: on one side is the negative effect on financial and authorities brainstorming on allocation of funds; and on the positive side is that this will lead to long-term development for the Philippines.  However, it shall be essential that corruptions are kept under check for proper allocation of those funds at lower levels.

It looks as if divine powers are on the President’s side, and he shall cut through all the difficulties trying his best to balance law and order. He will be coming out like a phoenix despite of the most difficult situation. As I had mentioned in previous predictions, President Duterte will be loved and remembered for a long time because of his contribution as a great leader.

Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr.

Marcos is finally seen becoming a VP in 2018, but the only thing that can stop it is being too generous to even those who might not be good and deserving.

There can be too many problems to take decisions on because of those who will try to misguide him and present false images, but a lady with great wisdom and strength will be solving all the issues one after another. There will be too much burden and he will need to take care of health in terms of anxiety. However, the good work will not stop and completion of tasks is seen.

Former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III

As to the question on whether former president Noynoy Aquino will face the consequences of the alleged mistakes during his administration, I see him trying to run away but the law will not let him go. He will face his karma in 2018, and possibly land in jail.

Catriona Gray

This year may get Catriona Elisa Gray in some wrong commitments or false promises. She will need to analyze things in detail before signing any contracts.  It is, however, good that 2018 shows her desires getting fulfilled, successful projects and growth in career, and start of new things personally as well as professionally.

Winning a competition is possible if done without depending on the advice of others.

Her career is seen prospering in 2018, also important thing to note is that there is a matured man who looks very strict but will be the one connected to the opportunities that she shall receive. She will also go for a vacation or a shoot near a sea, and will be having a great time.  Success, honor, and recognition is seen for Liza in 2018.

Nadine Lustre

Work and popularity will be more, travel to another country is seen. I see a young man from the past who is the reason for her tears that will never dry as she knows she will not see him anymore, and she thinks of him deeply at times.

2018 shows there will be deep love seen for a man who will be in strong bond with her. She needs to be careful of some known people who do not wish well for her since long and were the reason for the loss of something in the past.  She may have a powerful spiritual experience in 2018.

Maine Mendoza & Alden Richards

Their relationship is seen getting more sensitive and fragile in 2018.  Emotions are real and nothing fake is happening; it is true love going in the wrong direction.  Alden Richards trusts the wrong woman who is older than him, and this woman is very strong and influential.

Maine Mendoza is seen wanting Alden's attention and time, and they had some arguments and will be having it again because of trust issues.  She will try to be close to him in all possible ways and will be successful temporarily, but due to all what is going in his life she is seen getting tired of his behavior if it does not change in the future.

Pres. Aquino's Emergency Power @ Philippine Power Crisis

The nationwide power crisis within this year, as a result of the shortcomings of the people in charge of all the major power plants supplying the electricity needs of the country, will be felt more as the year progresses.

Fortunately,  this will be effectively addressed by the government.

President Aquino's request for emergency powers to expedite the otherwise long legal process to address the power crisis, will be approved by the Senate and Congress.  A woman law maker will be very visible as she argues for the granting of these emergency powers to the President.

It looks like Sen. Sergio Osmeña, Jr. will have his way, as the duration of these emergency powers will extend up to July 2016,  the same time the new power plants are expected to be operational.  Fortunately for the people, the resulting power rate hike will be shouldered mainly by the government, as Congress desires it to be.

The effects of the power crisis will start to be felt this coming summer, although more in the south than in the National Capital Region, and much less in Metro Manila.

By the second half of the year, the rotating black outs will be felt even less as the government begins to effectively address the problem, expedited by the granting of the emergency super powers upon the President.

The Fallen 44, #SAF44

First of all, I would like to extend my condolences to the families of these brave gentlemen who sacrificed their precious lives for the peace and order situation in our country, and the civilians who lost their lives from the massacre.

As for the deaths of the 44 PNP Special Action Force (SAF) members, it will be the passage of time that will enable the surviving loved ones to move on with their loss,  as the case will not really be resolved to their satisfaction.

This incident will have an adverse effect on President Aquino regarding his image as the Commander in Chief of the PNP as well as the rest of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.  He will be seen as a "hesitant flip-flopping " commander in chief,  as pointed out by former President Fidel V. Ramos.  DILG Secretary Mar Roxas will not be seen as to having handled the case effectively.  This will have a not so good effect on Mar Roxas' 2016 presidential bid.

Negotiations, most of them done in secret, will be started between the Philippine government panel and the people representing Bangsamoro, resulting in the recovery of the firearms, military equipment, and other personal belongings that was taken from the #fallen44.  However, their killers among the MILF and the BIFF will still be free.  And this is why the surviving loved ones of the #fallen44 will see that there was no real resolution of the case.  This will also have a negative effect on the morale of the rest of the PNP community, although they will still tow the line with their duties under their respective commanders.

As to the two alleged terrorists under the US Wanted list, the cards say:

• Yes, Zulkifli Abdhir, otherwise known as Commander Marwan indeed met his demise in the hands of the PNP SAF operatives, contrary to the claims of the MILF.
• Basmit Usman, the second bomb expert pursued by the PNP SAF operatives will eventually be captured late this year, but in Malaysia, not in the Philippines.

The grievances of the surviving relatives of the civilian casualties caught in the cross fire between the PNP SAF, and the MILF, BIFF will be totally missed off by the national government, leaving perhaps local barangay officials to address their concerns.

Finally, the real reason behind this clash or massacre will, unfortunately, never be known to the public.

Pres. Noynoy Aquino to Marry by 2018

Let me focus on how things will evolve on President Noynoy Aquino for the next few years.

Benigno Aquino III’s character, according to numerology, is as follows: The stronger you oppose him, the stronger he will fight back.  He has a very strong foundation; builds momentum with strength and determination.  He bravely faces all obstacles and adversities. He is very dominant, strong willed with a strong mind set.  He is intelligent, stable, ambitious, powerfully pursues goals and insightful into the strengths and weaknesses of others.  Natural born ability on how to control situations in the hands of others; knows how to make use of accumulated strengths to build resources.  He likes harmony.

While he had announced a few months ago that he would not run for the 2016 Presidential election, he will continue in power if there was a constitutional change.  If not, he will continue as a dominant political force and be extremely influential behind the scenes.  In the meantime, he is working on his diplomacy, but a lot of unexpected things and negative news are occurring.  A lot of thin gs are still undecided, delayed and he is facing some unexpected disappointments.  In spite of these challenges, he is very patient and trying to break through these difficulties with slow changes.  He is capable to finally manage well. All show initial difficulties that are eventually resolved.

Will Philippine President Noynoy Aquino face criminal charges for Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP)?  

I got a “No” answer.  Charges will not stand.  But there will be a lot of bad comments, scandals, cries of “being unfair”, “crafty”, and even family disputes.  Deceit, infidelity, all kind of unpleasant news.  I-Ching also indicated there are three or four closely related acquaintances involved.

Now, lets go to what many are curious about.

Will President Noynoy Aquino be still up for the wedding bells?  

I can tell that he is currently seeing someone.  President Aquino will eventually tie the knot with someone between 2017-2018, summertime.

There is a power struggle going on between him and a woman; a woman who is internally enmeshing him and not only earning the trust and confidence of voters and the people of the town.

What people do not know is that this woman, this being that comes with such apparently good intentions and eager to organize the economic and moral situation of the country, and boasts of solution to problems, is nothing more than a façade, is nothing more than a mask concealing their true intentions.

Quite difficult for the place and the people who inhabit it.  It comes in a time where violence is increased, where it will be increasingly complicated to live there, where people are deprived of many rights, where they will see that, foe evil or good, in one way or another, would be better with its current president.

On the question of whether President Aquino will (attempt to run) for  next period, yes, he will try too, but will not succeed and not manage to get there, as people lose faith in what he has done and what he will do.  Sadly this place, Philippines for some years will not be so good place to live, insecurity, economic situation and many other factors begin to be affected even more than before.
