Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr. (BBM) formally announced his candidacy for the position of Vice President of the Philippines on auspicious time after the full effect of the Mercury retrograde period from September 18 to October 9. Most of the Philippine vice presidential candidates, as well as presidential front-runner Grace Poe, made their formal announcement within the full effect of the retrograde.
